Founded in Concepción, Latinotype began as a self-taught, authorial initiative — in a country where type design had little tradition outside academia. It would grow into one of the most influential type foundries to emerge from Latin America.

Latinotype began marketing its typefaces globally, notably through the MyFonts platform, quickly becoming one of MyFonts' most successful foundries.

The typeface Trend, designed by Daniel Hernández, was named one of the most popular fonts on MyFonts. It also was used in the redesign of Olympique Lyonnais' emblem.

Recoleta launched — the retro serif that would become Latinotype's most recognized typeface, used by major brands around the world.

Created a bespoke typeface for the visual identity of Museo Histórico Nacional de Chile, drawing inspiration from the Bandera de la Jura de la Independencia. The design was nominated for Chile Diseño 2021 in the typography category.

Designed "Happy Display," a custom typeface for Zoom — extending Latinotype's practice from catalog fonts to bespoke corporate identities for global brands.
